The combination of shapes and textures are what first attracted me to this scene of an anchor extending over the bow of a small boat. A shadow below and in front of the bow seemed to add a nice bit of mystery to the scene.

For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
