The more I walk along the New Jersey bayshore the more I see things I have passed many times without noticing them. Lately my sight (and mind) has focused on the beauty of weathered wood along the bulkheads that protect land based objects nearby - In particular, the contrast between weathered wood and bolts that hold the wood in place seem to create natural abstracts.. Then there is the pareidiolian aspect of the scenes that make them even more interesting- in this scene I call this image "The Solar Winds Move Towards Earth." If you see something else in this scene please let me know.
For the past thirty years I have been exploring the many ways photography can be creatively used to record the beauty and interesting qualities of our world. Macro and landscape constitute the largest bodies of my work. Most of all I enjoy bringing out unique interpretations of common objects and scenes that might be missed by casual observation.
